29 May Set Your Sights on a Superior Summer
The news, ideas, and inspirations to keep you busy all season long
It’s nearly rooftop season in Downtown Superior which means it’s time to share our latest and greatest updates happening in the community. From newly approved bikeways to solar-powered homesites, there’s a lot to look forward to this summer. Let’s jump in!
Cruisers and Commuters Rejoice!
The Town of Superior was awarded a grant by the Denver Regional Council of Governments to construct a 10-foot-wide trail extension in two segments of our bustling region. The first will travel east from the U.S. 36 Bikeway overpass while the second trail will run through Autry Park and connect to West Flatiron Crossing Drive. Construction to both of these segments are scheduled to happen this year.

The design firm behind the project, Otak, Inc., is responsible for over 20 federal trail projects including the popular Superior Trail. With unanimous approval from the Superior Board of Trustees, we’re excited to welcome these new routes to our region and continue building outdoor opportunities for our supremely active residents.

One Small Business At A Time
We’d like to offer a special shout out to the Superior Chamber of Commerce for their exceptional work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Providing more than 725 meals for essential workers, distributing 1,500 awareness buttons to local businesses, and hosting free webinars are just some of the actions this group has accomplished for our community. As a partner in their ongoing response, Downtown Superior is proud of the entire region for stepping up for our small businesses and doing what we can today, for a better tomorrow.
