11 Nov Holidays Start at Home
How our superior region is finding new ways to celebrate this holiday season.
The winter weather has arrived and residents across the state are decorating their homes for the coming holidays. While typical gatherings and group celebrations may look different this year, our community still wanted to share all the ways that families, friends, neighbors, and businesses can keep the season bright and Superior.
Who let the Snow Dogs Out?
Living in Colorado offers adventure in every season – Even for your four-legged friends. Snowshoeing is a great option for those who want to get outside, get in a workout, and explore new trails in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Luckily for Downtown Superior, our community is just a short drive to some of the best snowshoeing spots in the state. Here’s some that we recommended for your next winter walk:
Golden Gate Canyon State Park
Jenny Creek Trail
Hessie Trailhead
Lory State Park
Before you hit the road, check out the latest trail conditions courtesy of Colorado Parks and Wildlife, plus get tips on proper path etiquette and snowshoeing suggestions from Boulder County before your trip.

Congrats are in order for our builder, Thrive Home Builders, on their eleventh Grand Award in Housing Innovation by the U.S. Department of Energy. This award marks eight years of recognition for building ‘Homes That Do More’ for our homeowners. We are so proud of Thrive Home Builders for bringing their steadfast, cutting edge designs to Downtown Superior and ensuring their homes make a positive impact on the environment and the health of our homeowners.

We’re Looking for Superior Ambassadors
Pictured: Volunteer Ambassadors for the Superior Chamber of Commerce.
It’s no secret our Superior region likes to stay connected, and that commitment is even more possible by becoming an Ambassador for the Superior Chamber of Commerce. So what does this entail? Ambassadors are all-purpose helpers for the community. They volunteer to plan big events and award ceremonies, participate in the Town of Superior events, welcome new residents to the community, and assist with the annual silent auction. But most importantly, they play an essential part in connecting with other members.
Whether that’s congratulating anniversaries or milestones, or helping new members integrate into our special community, your work as an Ambassador plays an essential role in our region. All you need is a positive attitude and a couple of hours to devote per month. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please email TJ Sullivan at the Superior Chamber of Commerce.
