If you haven’t been to Downtown Superior lately now is a good time to see the developments’ master plan coming to fruition. One of the most recent structures taking its final shape is the Element by Westin, a modern, sustainable extended stay Marriott hotel.
The hotel, located at the northwest entrance of the community near McClaslin Boulevard and Main Street entrance, is currently under construction and will be open early next year, according Wyatt Bostic, general manager of the Element Superior.
“We are excited to bring the Element’s unique brand to the Superior community,” Bostic said. “Because of its (Downtown Superior) prime location between Denver and Boulder we will be able to cater to families visiting students or attending events in Boulder (Colorado University) and business professionals needing extended stay options at a brand they know and trust.”
Element hotels are known for quality comfort and design features that inspire a vibrant lifestyle of wellness and sustainability. Element hotels are also known for being “green,” all properties are LEED certified and offer programs such S’well that encourages the use of reusable water bottles and Bikes to Borrow. The Downtown Superior Element will feature extended stay studios, one and two bedroom suites, all of which contain a kitchenette, and additional amenities unique to Superior.
“When you book a room at the Element it’s not like putting family up in a hotel; it’s like a little apartment, we want it to feel like home away from home,” Bostic said.
The Superior Element, as with all Element properties, will include features unique to the local community, to be determined upon completion. This could involve the commission of local artists to complete the exterior design and/or interior features and partnerships or concierge services that are unique to the Boulder County/Superior community.
Hotel construction is expected to wrap up in early 2019. With a soft opening targeted for late winter/early Spring and a public grand opening to follow. Stay tuned for more details as final dates are announced.
