10 May Downtown Superior Project Update
What is on the horizon for Downtown Superior? The Sport Stable (formerly Boulder Valley Ice and Indoor Sports) continues its progress with two NHL-sized sheets of ice both open and in use along with the indoor turf field getting lots of action. Construction continues on the restaurant, coffee shop, Impact Sports, and the retail store all to be located inside the facility.
The construction of Main Street and Superior Drive is set to begin in early summer. Utilities and infrastructure have already been completed so now it is a matter of putting in the actual streets. Main Street will end at the entrance to The Sport Stable.
The medical office building will be adjacent to The Sport Stable with 30,000 square feet of medical offices. Construction is scheduled to begin by the end of summer. They will also be building structured parking behind the office building that will be shared with the public and The Sport Stable on a scheduled basis.
Our first phase of residential is scheduled to begin construction this fall. It will include homes from three different builders consisting of townhomes and single family detached. These will vary in both size and price point.
The former Boulder Valley Ice site will be home to a future hotel. Plans are in the works with a hotel broker and we hope to see that begin construction by the end of this year.
The town plaza area has shifted one block closer to The Sport Stable to create a larger activity center. We continue to work on planning that area, including restaurants, retail, and other activities. We always appreciate hearing your thoughts and ideas so please feel free to share them via our website.
