07 Oct Creating a Spooky, Safe, and Superior Season
How our community is falling into Autumn and creating a little magic along the way.
Cooler temperatures, crunchy leaves, and Pumpkin-spiced everything can only mean one thing: Autumn has arrived in Downtown Superior. While typical gatherings and group celebrations may look different this year, our community still wanted to share all the cozy ways that families, friends, neighbors, and businesses can still enjoy some Fall fun.
#HalloweenIsHappening

This year, it’s all about staying spooky and safe! Beyond low-risk activities like pumpkin carving and movie nights, our Superior community is creating new Halloween traditions that are a real treat. First, Fearless Motion Dance Center is hosting a Trunk or Treat Celebration that invites families to come dressed in costume and collect goodies from a safely-distanced parking lot. Plus, you’ll get a front-row seat to FMDC’s first performance of the season! Reserve your spot at this free event by RSVP’ing here.
Kids aren’t the only ones getting Halloween goodies. The Superior Chamber of Commerce is hosting Treats not Tricks, an online pet costume competition that could win you some great prizes throughout the month of October. All Superior residents can participate by dressing up their pets, uploading the photos, and voting for their favorites. Even better? A portion of the proceeds will go towards Brighter Days Dog Rescue which seeks to provide foster dogs in Boulder County a loving, forever home.
For more creative ways to transform your Fall traditions into at-home adventures, check out Halloween Central, a community platform from the National Confectioners Association that’s sharing clever ideas for treating Halloween in 2020.
