31 Aug Put 16th Annual ChiliFest on Your Calendar!
Get out those calendars (okay, phones) and add the Superior’s 16th Annual Chili Fest for Saturday, September 10, 2:00pm – 6:00pm. This event is a favorite of many and draws people from all over the region. Going on at the same time is the Boulder Valley Rotary Beer Fest which feature 25+ craft beers. Even with the focus being chili and beer, this is a great afternoon for the entire family (anyone up for the Rootbeer Garden?). The Chili Fest is free to attend and will be happening at Superior Community Park, 1350 Coalton Road, Superior, CO 80027.
Read on for details from attending, entering the chili cook-off, to volunteering (if you’re really lucky you can be a judge for red chili, green chili, salsa, or quacamole). Another insider tip, be sure to hit the Restaurant row of chili. Some awesome local restaurants compete for People’s Choice of chili and they are amaaazing!
Eats and Entertainment
Come join in the celebration that is sure to be hot, hot, hot! Back for the 16th year, Chili Fest will feature great music from Globalsound Studios and The Tyler Walker Band, great chili samples and food, local vendors, a FREE Kids Zone area (Zip Line, Quad Trampoline, Jumpy Castles) and more!
Please note that chili samples are generously provided by the cooks and are distributed first come-first served. Get there early as the samples always go fast. Chili tasting cups will be available for purchase – Individuals pay $5 for six tasting cups, families pay $10 for twelve. BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR for $5 you may purchase a reusable chili tasting cup with attached spoon – eat all the chili you want and take home the commemorative cup! The event will also feature a “People’s Choice” competition between eight of the best local restaurants!
